Eating this dish will never not feel like southern Italy to me. I can’t tell if this dish is mostly for the tourist towns there, like Capri and Sorrento and Positano, but I don’t care. It’s too good not to share. I love it when dishes taste like their surroundings. When you walk into a restaurant covered in lemons, like the famous lemon restaurant Da Paulina on Capri, you can’t help but be mesmerized by the lemony breezes. Pasta in Italy is served as a primi, meaning it’s not meant to be the main course. If you are in the States, then I serve this as a side dish rather than the main event.
