If you are just starting out in the kitchen or maybe even looking to cull an overly stocked kitchen, here is a list of my most used kitchen essentials. You actually don’t need a lot of fancy tools and gadgets to cook amazing food. If you travel to rural Italy, most Grandma’s are cooking in small kitchens with dull knives and battered pots and pans. Yet from those humble tools, they put out some of the best food you have ever tasted. I am also a big fan of collecting items over time. Or replacing pieces with better ones as you find them and can afford them.
But here is a good starting point for anyone looking to start cooking in earnest. Below is a link to my Amazon storefront. Most of the items below are found at the link but you know I love finding items out in the wild. 80% of my Ruffoni pieces were found over many years at various estate sales. Estate sales remain my number one favorite place to shop for kitchen items. From rolling pins to pepper mills to Le Creuset to mixing bowls to Pyrex pieces to ladles to roasting trays. Hit up your local estate sales for a few months and you will find incredible treasures.
