Marla Aaron, the famed jewelry designer, sent this recipe to me. I love when I find out that people I deeply admire have somehow found their way to my corner of the world. This is a version of her recipe. It’s a dish she came across in Paris and one that allowed her to put a complete meal on the table on a busy week night that all of her kids would enjoy. She has been making it for 25 years and I am honored to now pass it on.
There are 100 different ways to flavor this dish. You can use whatever vegetables or aromatics that you enjoy. Here I am providing a base version but feel free to tailor this to whatever is in season.
